Co-Chair for Parents and Friends Association
The role of PFA (Parent-Friends Association) Co-Chair involves working alongside the Chair to lead the association's activities, events and initiatives. This supportive leadership position is crucial for sharing responsibilities and ensuring the smooth running of the PFA. Key Responsibilities Support the PFA Chair in planning and implementing the annual calendar of fundraising and community events Chair meetings when the Chair is unavailable, helping to maintain momentum and progress Assist in coordinating volunteers and delegating tasks for PFA activities Act as a liaison between the PFA, school staff, parents and the wider community Help develop fundraising ideas and initiatives that align with school needs Contribute to decision-making regarding fund allocation and spending priorities Work collaboratively with other committee members, especially the Secretary and Treasurer Help prepare agendas for meetings and review minutes before distribution Skills and Qualities Good organisational and time management skills Effective communication and interpersonal abilities Enthusiasm for building school community Ability to work as part of a team Diplomatic approach to handling different viewpoints Reliability and commitment to follow through on tasks Notes The time commitment is flexible but typically includes termly committee meetings and increased involvement around events The role offers an excellent opportunity to help shape school community activities No previous experience is required, just enthusiasm and willingness to contribute The position provides valuable insight into school operations and helps build connections with staff and families

Secretary for Parents and Friends Association
The role of PFA (Parent-Friends Association) Secretary involves managing the administrative functions of the association to ensure efficient communication and record-keeping. This position is vital for maintaining organisation and supporting the Chair, Co-Chair and wider committee in their activities. Key Responsibilities Prepare and distribute agendas for termly committee meetings in consultation with the Chair Take accurate minutes during meetings and distribute them to committee members in a timely manner Maintain official records of the PFA including meeting minutes, membership lists and important correspondence Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence on behalf of the PFA Support the creation and distribution of communications to parents about upcoming events and activities Help coordinate the annual calendar of PFA events alongside the Chair and Co-Chair Maintain necessary documentation for PFA activities, including risk assessments for events when required Ensure compliance with any regulatory requirements for the association, such as data protection policies Assist with the organisation of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in September Skills and Qualities Strong written communication and note-taking abilities Good organisational skills and attention to detail Reliability and commitment to deadlines Ability to work effectively as part of a team Computer literacy for document preparation and email communications Discretion when handling sensitive information Approachability and a friendly demeanour Notes The primary time commitment includes termly committee meetings and additional time for preparing minutes and communications Templates and previous documents are available to help streamline administrative tasks This role provides excellent insight into all aspects of PFA activities The position offers a valuable contribution to the school community without requiring attendance at all events

Treasurer for Parents and Friends Association
The role of PFA (Parent-Friends Association) Treasurer involves overseeing the PFA finances, managing revenue and outgoings. This is an essential position, as the PFA cannot operate without a treasurer. It's well-suited for someone with an eye for detail. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate records of all income and outgoings Monitor the bank account after events and provide regular updates to the PFA group about funds raised and current account balances Manage cash takings from fundraising events, ensuring proper counting, documentation, and deposit into the PFA account Prepare annual accounts for presentation at the September AGM using established templates Process and authorise payments from the PFA account to the school and for expenses, working with a second signatory (all payments require two authorised approvals) Notes The position is less complex and time-consuming than it might appear Easy-to-use templates are available for required documentation Updates about fundraising results are typically shared via WhatsApp after events While most payments are now received electronically, the treasurer remains responsible for handling any cash transactions
This role is vital to the continued operation and success of the PFA's fundraising activities and financial management.

Exam Invigilator

£13.26 Per Hour
The Governors are looking to extend our team of exam invigilators who supervise students and ensure an appropriate environment is maintained during examination periods. We are seeking diligent Exam Invigilators who will relate positively to all students, be extremely reliable and adaptable, with good verbal communication skills and the confidence, on occasions, to address large groups of students. This role can involve long periods of standing, taking stairs and walking. Hours are flexible and successful applicants will be employed on a casual basis, with hours and days of work dependent on the examination timetable. No experience is necessary as full training will be provided.
