The below information includes policies and Supplementary Information Forms to support applications to
Cardinal Newman Catholic School.
If you are expressing a preference for a place for your child at this school and wish to apply in connection with one of the faith criteria, you should complete this Supplementary Information Form (SIF).
September 2026 - 2027 Admissions Consultation Arrangements
CONSULTATION ON ADMISSION ARRANGEMENTS FOR CARDINAL NEMAN CATHOLIC SCHOOL FOR 2026-27 ACADEMIC YEAR Notice is hereby given in accordance with legislation that the governing body as the admission authority for Cardinal Newman Catholic School is formally consulting on its proposed admission arrangements for the school year 2026-2027. As an admission authority, the school is required to consult the following: a)Parents of children between the ages of two and eighteen; b)Other persons in the ‘relevant area’ (set by the Local Authority) who in the opinion of the school have an interest in the proposed admissions (e.g. local priests, other deanery Catholic schools, etc); c)All other admission authorities within the ‘relevant area’; d)The Local Authority (LA); e)The Education Service of the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton; The six-week (minimum) consultation will begin on Monday 18th November 2024 with the closing date for submitting comments being Monday 6th January 2025. Alternatively, if you do not have access to the Internet and you wish to request a printed copy of the admissions arrangements and a response form, please contact the Admissions Officer at Cardinal Newman Catholic School - admissions@cncs.co.uk Comments on the proposed admission arrangements should be sent to Cardinal Newman Catholic School by the closing date (latest midnight on Sunday 5th January 2025) by email admissions@cncs.co.uk. The proposed admission arrangements for consultation are detailed under category 2 and 7 in the 2026-27 Admissions Policy. No comments are sought on the other categories which remain the same. Note: The ‘relevant area’ is the area for a school (determined by its LA and then reviewed every two years) within which the admission authority for that school must consult all other prescribed schools on its admission arrangements.
