Business, Enterprise and Careers Hub

Otherwise known as the BEACH

BEACH Logo.png

Here at Cardinal Newman Catholic School, our students are at the heart of everything we do. We continue to show Caritas, celebrate their Excellence and come Together as much as we can and for that, we really are proud to be Newman. We are very lucky at Newman, to be able to offer an 11-18 journey for our students as we host both a School and Sixth Form on our site. With this in mind, we have introduced our Business, Enterprise and Careers Hub to support our students from Year 7, right through to Year 13. Please scroll through this page to find information relevant to you and/or your child about our Careers provision at the school/college.

The Gatsby Benchmarks were developed on behalf of the Gatsby Foundation by Sir John Holman. They define what world class careers provision in education looks like and provide a clear framework for organising the careers provision at your school or college.

To see how Newman will be meeting those benchmarks, please click on the link below.

This policy statement aims to set out our school’s arrangements for managing the access of education and training providers to students for the purpose of giving them information about their offer.

Please click on the below below to read our policy in more detail.

Labour Market Information

The Careerometer widget can be used to explore and compare key information about occupations to support the process of identifying potential careers. It provides access to a selection of headline data relating to pay, weekly hours of work and future employment prospects.

The data is organised by occupation: simply type in the title of the job you are interested in and the widget provides a series of options from which you can select the most relevant to you.

Labour Market Information (LMI) is information about the current job market and future projections. The Education Development Trust LMI bulletin includes graduate destinations, average starting salaries, sector growth and skills gaps. You are welcome to read this report below.

If using on a mobile, please scroll along to compare more than one job.
