CNCS x Sussex Nightstop | Artist Open Houses 2024

Cardinal Newman Catholic School Collaborates with Sussex Nightstop to Host Artist Open House in May 2024.

Cardinal Newman Catholic School is proud to announce its partnership with Sussex Nightstop to host an Artist Open House throughout May 2024. This collaborative initiative aims to celebrate local talent, build community engagement, and raise awareness and funds for Sussex Nightstop.

The Artist Open House will take place each weekend in May at Cardinal Newman Catholic School, located in the vibrant city of Brighton and Hove. Local artists from the area will come together to showcase their artwork, offering attendees the opportunity to explore and appreciate a diverse range of artistic expressions; a private view will also be taking place on Thursday 2 May 2024 at the School - tickets for this can be secured here.

This year's event will focus on three central themes: community, resilience, and kindness. Through the power of art, the participating artists will convey these messages, reflecting the values upheld by both Cardinal Newman Catholic School (Caritas, Excellence and Together) and Sussex Nightstop.

In a concerted effort to engage and involve the school community, we have enlisted the support of our Arts Ambassadors to contribute to the success of this project. These dedicated students will play an integral role in organising and promoting the Artist Open House, as well as introducing some of their own art, further reinforcing the school's commitment to creativity and leadership among its students.

In addition to showcasing local talent, Sussex Nightstop will be hosting an online auction in conjunction with the Artist Open House. The proceeds from the auction will go towards supporting the invaluable work carried out by Sussex Nightstop in providing safe and temporary accommodation for young people facing homelessness in the Sussex area.

"We are thrilled to partner with Sussex Nightstop for this exciting initiative," said Claire Jarman, Principal of Cardinal Newman Catholic School. "The Artist Open House presents a wonderful opportunity for our school community to come together, celebrate the arts, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. We are grateful for the support of our talented local artists, dedicated students, and generous donors in making this event possible."

If you are a local artist who would be interested in showcasing your work at the event, then please contact Lily Glynn | Marketing Manager.
