We are so incredibly proud of all our Newman Dance students who put on an outstanding performance this week for the Newman Dance Show.
This year, we have been lucky enough to have some fantastic opportunities, performing at The Brighton Dome, Varndean School and The Old Market, continuing our 3 year professional partnership with Sussex Dance Network offering weekly free workshops with professional dance artists in the local area.
We have grown our department and now have two dance teachers, a Junior, Senior, Boys, Street, Yr 7, and Gifted and Talented clubs as well as developing and growing our Dance Academy and having 2 GCSE classes next year.
This year we are focusing on continuing to grow our department, with all proceeds from our ticket sales, programme sales and raffle tickets being invested in developing and improving the dance department facilities for future students. We hope with these funds to develop a dedicated dance changing room, set up a lighting rig in the studio and replace our blinds.
Thank you to everyone who bought tickets for the show, entered into our raffle and purchased one of our programmes. We are proud to say that we raised over £2500, with all proceeds going to our Dance Department to support the facilities!
