Year 8 Climate Change Postcard Competition

Amongst 700 other students across the UK and Ireland, some of our Year 8 Art Students at Newman recently took part in the 'Climate Postcards Launch'. This launch took place at the British Embassy in Dublin and featured the students work based on the theme of climate, taking inspiration from the 'Turner: Sun is God' exhibition at The National Gallery of Ireland.

The event took place in January with attendees such as the British Ambassador to Ireland, Paul Johnston, as well as some of the students who participated. What a fantastic opportunity for our Newman students to have their work shared 'across the pond' and appreciated by so many; hopefully this becomes another small step towards shaping climate change.

Take a look at some of our students work in the gallery below!
